We are pleased to welcome Michele Curtis as the newest member of the Wessels team, joining our inventory department at the start of September. Michele brings a strong educational background from Ivy Tech, where she studied business and mathematics, along with several years of managerial experience in manufacturing at a snack company. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities, weekend road trips, and fishing with her husband, as well as spending time with her granddaughter and watching football and baseball. Wessels Company Officially Launches Virtual Warehouse

GREENWOOD, Indiana (January 15, 2014) – “This is absolutely amazing!  Totally unbelievable!  You’ve got to try this!” Anywhere the new Oculus Rift virtual reality headset makes an appearance, amazed reactions attract a small crowd, which eventually becomes a waiting line to try out virtual reality for the first time.

While virtual reality takes the gaming industry by storm, Wessels Company saw an opportunity to leverage this exciting new technology outside of the gaming world to showcase several of their industrial products at this year’s AHR Expo in January.

Visitors to the Virtual Warehouse are greeted by an animated robotic welder spraying sparks, surrounded by several featured products that spring to life as they approach, revealing inner components and showing how each product works.

“It gives us a really unique and memorable way of engaging with customers. They’re able to see some of the larger products we could never realistically transport to a trade show. It’s just a very fun and immersive way to experience and learn more about our products.” said Jim Fuller, at Wessels Company.
